- Award for Service: Recognized with an award for his contributions while clerking at Public Counsel, the nation’s largest provider of pro bono legal services, where he assisted with consumer rights matters.
- Successful Advocacy: Competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition during his final year at Loyola Law School, showcasing his strong advocacy skills on a national stage.
Guillermo was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in a Salvadorian and Peruvian family. He became the first in his family to graduate from college, earning a bachelor’s degree in History from UCLA. After college, Guillermo clerked at the newly established Stalwart Law Group, where his firsthand experience with talented lawyers confirmed his decision to pursue a career in law.
While attending Loyola Law School, Guillermo served as a staff member and research editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and was a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board. After his first year, Guillermo clerked at Public Counsel, the nation’s largest provider of pro bono legal services, where he assisted with consumer rights matters and was recognized with an award for his services. During his final year, he externed for a District Court Judge in the Central District of California and competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
After law school, Guillermo began his career as a litigator at one of the world’s largest law firms, handling a variety of complex civil matters. He seized the first opportunity to return to Stalwart Law Group, where he could once again focus on representing individuals.
In his free time, Guillermo enjoys playing basketball and video games, going on walks and hikes, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
